"The Starter is, in many ways, a product of modern social media. Strongly promoted on Instagram and TikTok, it has developed something of a cult following, particularly amongst those seeking artisanal sourdough breads.
As a first-time visitor, I felt obliged to start with the basics and ordered two slices of their sourdough.
Visually, the bread looks the part. The crust displays the characteristic blistering and irregular crumb structure one expects from a naturally fermented loaf. Unfortunately, appearance and flavour did not quite align. While competently baked, there was little of the distinctive complexity or mild tang associated with a well-developed sourdough starter. In the end, it tasted more like a well-made white bread than a memorable sourdough.
What surprised me further was that the bread was served without butter, olive oil or any accompanying dip. Even a small portion of butter would have elevated the experience considerably. I was even more surprised that basic butter came at an additional cost.
I also ordered the guacamole, which came with a choice of sourdough or focaccia. As I had already ordered the sourdough, I opted for the focaccia.
The focaccia proved disappointing. Slightly dense in texture, it was further let down by what appeared to be a rather ordinary olive oil that lacked freshness. The guacamole itself was overly soft, while the addition of diced red onions, cherry tomatoes, jalapeños and walnuts created a somewhat confused dish that seemed caught between guacamole and salsa. Had the intention been a dip, thin slices of toasted sourdough would have provided a far better contrast of texture.
The seafood chowder did little to improve matters. The cream had visibly split, something apparent even before the first spoonful.
The issue is that a café built around the craft of sourdough inevitably creates higher expectations. On this visit, the execution simply did not justify the reputation.
Perhaps the most amusing moment came from a sign limiting purchases to four loaves per customer. After sampling the bread, I found myself wondering whether demand was being driven more by social media hype than by the quality of the product itself."

Let me start with the good part first. The food was delicious and felt quite healthy (trying to stay positive here 😆). The vibe inside the café was also nice, lively, and vibrant. Yes, it was packed with people, but I guess that says a lot about how much people enjoy the food here.
As for the service, our food took around 30 to 40 minutes to arrive. Personally, I’m quite a patient person, so the waiting time didn’t really bother me. However, if you’re in a rush, I would recommend choosing items from the display counter for a quicker grab and go option.
For parking, ughhh its a battle but I took as positive side (brisk walk).😛
The staff were friendly and professional. They even confirmed our order twice to make sure everything was correct, which I appreciated. Overall, despite the waiting time, the food quality, atmosphere, and customer service made the experience enjoyable."

"Here’s a polished version for your review:
We ordered the Spinach Dip Toast (can choose either sourdough or focaccia) and the Prawn Crostini Toast with a side salad. The prawn toast was amazing. Probably the best thing I had that day, and it’s something I’ll definitely miss.
I originally came for the sourdough, and while the bread itself was decent, it tasted much better with the dipping sauces. I would actually recommend trying the spinach dip with the prawn toast, as the sauce served with the prawn toast didn’t pair particularly well with it.
The ambience is cozy, spacious, and comfortable for dining. Price-wise, it is on the expensive side. I might come back in the future, but more likely to buy a whole loaf of their sourdough bread rather than dine in at the café."

"Really loved the sourdough pizza and the coffee here! The Foccacia and sourdough slices were also really chewy and flavorful :) the beef ragu was so rich and decadent. With the soft boiled egg and fluffy velvety mash potato.. really yums.. service was really good as well! Their staff Murni also shared with us on when to walk in or to preorder their bread. Friendly and nice staff! Will def be back again to try more items :)"
